Emma's love of jewellery started at the age of six, when she first had her ears pierced. By the time she had reached senior school her class mates used to joke that they never saw her wearing the same pair of earrings twice.
In 2003 Emma was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and she found herself being taken back to her roots and having to re-discover herself. It was at this stage that she stumbled upon a Jewellery & Silversmithing course at the local college. It is now many years later and Emma believes introducing handmade jewellery into her life was the best thing she have ever done. It's so very rewarding seeing a piece of jewellery start out as chunks of silver and beads and then morph into a stunning piece of jewellery that you can wear.
Recently Emma also began making her own glass lampwork beads, which feature heavily in her designs. Emma is based in Poole, Dorset and the jewellery is made in her own purpose built workshop at home.
Emma is always on the look out for new trends and love attending courses to increase her skills, but best of all she loves sharing her knowledge with others and also learning from other fellow jewellery makers.Lampwork, Silver Jewellery, emma hardy.
